Suzanne Tucker's "Rooms to Remember"
“Rooms to Remember,” by Suzanne Tucker, Monacelli Press, p. 182
I recently spent some time going through Suzanne Tucker’s lovely book, “Rooms to Remember” and re-discovered these chairs that my grandfather, Frederick Victoria, had made. These were a set of classic Louis XVI style chairs, but rather than upholster the backs, he used vertical strips of wood. These splats helped make the chairs more light and airy despite their traditional style.
Later on, I also saw this custom version of our Rue-du-Cirque Desk, done as a bedside table. Wish I had seen that in person!
