Louis XVI Style Dining Table
Louis XVI Style Dining Table
A classic Jansen-inspired, Louis XVI style dining table made to expand as needed, with six turned and fluted legs fitted with brass sabots and collars; the legs are arranged with four on the perimeter and two at the center which support the table when expanded; the leg blocks are inset with brass mounts, which can be customized. The example shown here has molded details on the top edge and aprons executed in wood and gilded.
This model allows for many custom design elements, beyond overall dimension, shape and finish:
Top surface edge can be clad in our custom extruded brass molding or have a molded wood edge.
Table apron can be flat or with recessed panels (shown at left) having brass or molded wood borders.
Brass mounts for the leg blocks can be changed (see fluted example below), or done without brass mounts.
Brass leg mounts (collars, sabots) are optional - these details may also be done in wood, with or without gilding
Table is made to order, custom version available upon request.
